Not Able To Open Facebook Account

Most of Facebook's automated account recovery options depend on the information you entered and validated when you set up your account. If you never completed the information or if it's outdated, chances are slim that you'll be able to regain access to your account.

not able to open facebook account

Before you try to recover your account, check whether you are still logged into Facebook on any of your devices. This could be another browser or browser profile on your computer, your Facebook Android or iOS app, or a mobile browser, for example, your tablet or Kindle.

If possible, use the internet connection and computer or phone from which you've frequently logged into your Facebook account before. If Facebook recognizes that network and device, you might be able to reset your password without additional verification. But first, you need to identify your account.

Once you successfully managed to identify your account, you will see a summary of your profile. Before you proceed, carefully check if this really is your account and if you still have access to the email address or phone number listed. You may be able to choose between email or phone recovery.

This will actually start a similar process to the one outlined above. While you will use the same information to identify your account, in the following step, you will be able to use either a current or old Facebook password to recover your account.

If you no longer have access to any of the email addresses or phone numbers associated with your account, enter one you have access to now. Then, email security@facebookmail.com to explain your situation.

My account been taken and the person has controlled it for over two years. Everytime I try to regain it or get a new facebook account he reports it as a fake account. I Can prove who I am Why cant you just help me.

When asked to re-enter your birth date, they only have a drop down for the year which goes back to 1956. Needless to say this is a problem for anyone born in 1955 or earlier. It seems to me that this is an effort by Facebook to hold onto a lot of accounts where people are deceased or simply are old and have forgotten their password. I suggest there are probably millions of old accounts out there that just help facebook gather more money from advertizers but which no longer represent anyone.

Hi. I have not been able to open facebook on my macbook pro (2013 15" retina) for a few months. It was suggested I upgrade my operating system. I did (current Catalina 10.15.1). Still nothing. I have tried Chrome, Safari, and an app called Go for Facebook. Nothing. I get an error: NET::ERR_CERT_WEAK_KEY It says my browsing is not private and the certificate is invalid. I am able to open FB on my phone, ipad, and anywhere else I go. I have cleared the cache and cookies. I don't know what else to do.

Consider the following to help prevent Facebook from temporarily locking your account:• Verify your phone number, email address, and identity. Verifying your details lets Facebook know that you are a genuine user and not trying to impersonate anyone. You can include additional information like the college you attended if you wish.• Use strong passwords. A strong password means less of a chance of someone guessing your password. Long passwords require more time to crack.• A naturally aged account. Unfortunately for new Facebook users, in the eyes of Facebook, your account is less trustworthy, as spammers typically use new fake accounts to spam users. Therefore, a new profile is more likely to be blocked than an established one with many friends." } }, "@type": "Question
How long is a temporary facebook lock?
@type": "Answer
A temporary Facebook lock usually lasts for 24 to 48 hours. Since you cannot create a Facebook business account without having a personal one, you need to use your credentials. Note that if you create a fake profile and link it to your business page, it can lead to deactivation. Even if you put your legal name and not a nickname, you will still be able to use a personal account, separate from the business page, by adjusting the settings later.

The Facebook business manager is a tool available for owners of business pages. The tool allows you to manage Facebook pages, create ads, add team members, and analyze reports. To create an account, you need to go to the login page and do the following:

In any case, you can restrict your privacy and share as little as possible to protect your identity. Your personal Facebook page will not be displayed in your business account, and you will be able to use those two separately.

When you stop using a social networking profile or website, it is a good idea to deactivate or delete your account. This will mean that your content is no longer visible online and should not be searchable online. It will also remove the risk of these accounts being used by others or hacked without you knowing.

On Twitter, you deactivate your account and it deletes permanently after 30 days. During this time your account is deactivated. Deactivation is not available on mobile devices and must be done by accessing twitter.com on the web.

You are only able to permanently delete your account on Snapchat. It takes 30 days for the deletion to take place, in which time your account will be deactivated.

During these 30 days, your friends will not be able to contact or interact with you on Snapchat. After 30 days, your account will be permanently deleted, including your friends, Snaps, Chats and Stories. Your username will no longer be available.
